Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Lifeplace (registered in England, company no. 16449684), Unit 1 The Byre, Hook Street, Swindon, Wiltshire, England, SN4 8EF, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
We trade as LifePlace. For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, contact us at rachel.mccorry@lifeplace.uk.
2. What this policy covers
This policy describes how we handle personal data when you:
- visit lifeplace.uk (this marketing website)
- submit our contact or pilot waitlist forms
- email us directly
It does not yet cover the full LifePlace platform (web app, iOS, or Android). When those services launch, we will publish a separate or updated policy explaining account data, app permissions, and Onya interactions. This page will be updated at that time.
3. What data we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us.
| Source | Data |
|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, email, optional phone, reason for contact, message |
| Pilot waitlist | Name, email, where you are in your journey, optional message |
| Direct email | Whatever you include in your email |
We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this website. We do not buy lists or collect data from third-party brokers.
Please note: optional free-text fields may include sensitive information about your personal life (for example, details about separation or divorce). Only share what you are comfortable with.
4. How we use your data
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry
- manage pilot programme interest and invitations
- follow up with you about LifePlace, where you have asked us to or where it is a reasonable next step to your submission
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to enquiries you send us | Contract steps at your request, and/or legitimate interests in operating our business |
| Pilot waitlist administration | Consent (you submit the form voluntarily) and/or legitimate interests in developing our service |
| Direct email correspondence | Legitimate interests in responding to you |
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only where needed to run this website:
- Web3Forms — processes form submissions and forwards them to our email inbox at mail@lifeplace.uk
- Vercel — hosts the website (standard server/hosting logs may be generated)
- Google — fonts are loaded from Google Fonts when you visit the site (your browser makes a request to Google’s servers)
We require processors to handle data securely. We do not share your details with partners, advertisers, or other third parties for their own marketing without your permission.
Internal access: as noted in our email communications, messages and enquiries sent to or from Lifeplace may be accessed by other Lifeplace personnel and agents who need that access to respond to you, manage the pilot programme, or operate our systems. Access is limited to what is reasonably necessary.
7. Where data is stored
LifePlace stores and processes personal data in the United Kingdom and European Union, in line with UK GDPR and EU GDPR requirements.
When you submit a form on this website, your submission is briefly processed by Web3Forms on servers in the United States before being forwarded to our inbox. We use this provider only to deliver form submissions and rely on appropriate contractual safeguards for international transfers where required.
8. How long we keep data
- Enquiry and pilot waitlist data: up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we need to keep it longer for legal reasons
- Hosting logs: retained by our host for a limited period per their standard practices
We will review and delete data when it is no longer needed.
9. Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate data
- request deletion
- restrict or object to certain processing
- data portability (where applicable)
- withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
- lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK): ico.org.uk, or your local EU supervisory authority
To exercise any right, email rachel.mccorry@lifeplace.uk. We will respond within one month.
10. Security and confidentiality
We treat the information you share with us as confidential and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it, including secure hosting and limiting access to Lifeplace personnel and agents who need it.
Internet communications are not fully secure. Whilst we take reasonable precautions, we cannot accept legal responsibility for the security of information transmitted over the internet. Please only share what you are comfortable sending by email or web form.
11. Children
LifePlace is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set cookies on this marketing website for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Your browser may still store strictly necessary technical data. Third-party font loading (Google Fonts) involves a network request; we do not control Google’s processing — see Google’s privacy policy.
When we launch the LifePlace apps and web platform, we will update this section if cookies or similar technologies are introduced.
13. Future apps and platform
LifePlace is building web, iOS, and Android experiences. When you create an account or use those products, we may collect additional data (for example, account credentials, usage data, or device permissions). That will be explained in an updated privacy policy and, where required, in-app disclosures and app store privacy labels before or at launch.
This marketing-site policy remains accurate for form submissions made here today.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
